The third rubber dam on the Dagu River in Qufu was completed .

The purpose of the project is to build a dam to catch and store,  develop and utilize the Dagu River,  and divert water into the Xiaotuo River to provide a reliable source of water for irrigation of nearby farmland and ecological water,  expand the irrigation area of farmland,   and greatly increase the irrigation guarantee rate. It can also recharge groundwater and develop aquaculture. The tailwater after interception enters the urban area as environmental water . The newly-built rubber dam and the downstream rubber dam with a seedling hole can form a large-area water surface with a length of 6 kilometers, which is of positive significance for improving the local microclimate and maintaining the ecological balance and improving the ecological environment and tourism environment. Through the construction of supporting facilities, nearly 6 kilometers of green belts will be formed on both sides of the Xiaotuo River , becoming another attraction for the citizens and tourists to entertain themselves.  The construction of this project has very important economic and social benefits for promoting the economic development of the area and improving the regional ecological environment .
